Students may check out books for one week or until their next library class time. It they were not able to read their book within this time frame the book or books may be renewed for one more week.
Periodicals, reference materials, and magazines may be checked out at the beginning of the day for use in the classroom and are due at the end of the day.
It is very important for students to remember to keep their library books in their backpack every time that they finish reading them. We do not have a fixed library day so it is difficult for students to remember when to bring the library books back. If the library books are always kept in the backpack, then students will always get to checkout new books.
